Shabana

Shabana Rasheed, a 33-year-old mother of five, has transformed her life through the support of the Fahmida Begum Foundation’s Imarah women empowerment program.

Through this initiative, she completed courses in basic literacy, enhancing her Urdu and English reading, writing, and speaking skills. She also participated in an enterprise course, which gave her the confidence to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. Shabana began her journey by opening a small home shop, later transitioning to selling clothes. Over time, she discovered her true passion as a jewellery maker. Recognizing her dedication and talent, the Foundation provided her with a COSARAF- GEAR microfinance loan to expand her jewelry business.

This support has been life-changing, enabling her to grow her enterprise and secure a brighter future for her family. Her story is a testament to how access to education, skills, and financial support can empower individuals to realize their potential and achieve lasting change.
