Building Brighter Futures in Pakistan

The news

We are delighted to share the remarkable achievements of the Build a School project in Kals Pajjay, Kashmir, Pakistan, funded by the COSARAF Foundation.

Since opening its doors in April 2024, the new school has become a beacon of hope for the local community. With 436 students currently enrolled—exceeding the initial target of 400—the school has achieved an outstanding 86% pass rate in its first intermediate examinations.

The school is now fully operational, self-sustaining, and thriving. Thanks to additional support, including COSARAF-funded Eye Camps and Quranic curriculum teacher training, the students and staff continue to benefit from further development opportunities.

Beyond education, the project has stimulated local employment during construction, encouraging greater parental engagement, and inspired neighbouring villages to replicate this success.

We are particularly proud that Kals Pajjay School is evolving into a vibrant community hub, hosting events from arts showcases to national celebrations, and even organising educational trips to historic sites like Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque.

Looking ahead, the school plans to enhance security with upgraded CCTV and expand inclusivity by introducing Special Educational Needs support.

We are incredibly grateful to COSARAF Foundation for their unwavering support, vision, and commitment to transforming lives through education.
