The COSARAF Foundation is proud to announce a £5,000 donation to the Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) Children’s Fund, reinforcing our commitment to supporting local families in crisis.
Supporting Families in Need
The HCF Children’s Fund has become a lifeline for vulnerable families across Hertfordshire. In 2023/24 alone, the fund provided 491 grants, averaging £306 each, to families in desperate need of essentials including cookers, beds, and fridges. The fund ensures support reaches those most in need by working through trusted professionals, including social workers and health visitors.
Real Lives, Real Impact
Grants from the Children’s Fund have already made a tangible difference:
- A single mother received a new cooker, enabling her to provide regular, healthy meals for her children after relying on costly takeaways.
- A family struggling with the tragic loss of a baby was provided with stair gates, a fridge, and a bed for their toddler, helping them rebuild in their new council home.
- A refugee family of four, including two asthmatic children, was given a vacuum cleaner to improve their living conditions.
These are just a few of the many families whose lives have been transformed through this vital fund.
