New Partnership to Unite Communities Through Sport and Faith

The news

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) to support Interfaith Community Iftar Events across Wales. These unique events will bring people of different faiths and backgrounds together, hosted in collaboration with leading football and rugby clubs, including Cardiff City FC, Swansea City AFC, Newport County AFC and Dragons Rugby.

What’s Happening?
This year’s iftars will take place at iconic venues, uniting communities through shared experiences and dialogue:

  • 200 attendees at Cardiff City Stadium
  • 150 attendees at Swansea.com Stadium
  • 100 attendees at Rodney Parade (Newport County & Dragons)

Each event will include:

  • Inspiring guest speakers sharing their personal journeys and the role of faith in their lives.
  • First-team players and managers joining the conversation and engaging with attendees.
  • Traditional meals, prayers, and activities for families, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Why It Matters
These interfaith events aim to foster understanding, break down stereotypes, and build lasting community bonds. In a time of growing diversity and increasing challenges such as Islamophobia, they provide a vital platform for dialogue, empathy, and unity.

The Bigger Picture
By partnering with SRtRC, we’re aligning with their mission of tackling racism and promoting inclusion through the power of sport. Together, we’re creating opportunities for cultural exchange, mutual respect, and stronger communities.

Stay tuned for more updates as we celebrate the spirit of togetherness at these remarkable events.
