The news
Jonathan Freeman MBE, has been working with the Sheikh family over the last few years to support our philanthropic commitment through the COSARAF Foundation, firstly as Interim CEO and then as Senior Strategic Adviser. Over the last five years, with his guidance, the growth in scale and impact of the Foundation’s work has been incredible – with 1.3 million individuals having been positively supported since 2018.
Alongside this, Jonathan has also led the sister charity, the CareTech Charitable Foundation, as the founding CEO since it’s inception 2017. Displaying exemplary leadership, Jonathan has guided the charity into awarding over £1.8 million in partnership grants, more than £264,000 in community grants, £54,000 in match funding, and nearly half a million in staff hardship grants.
Having achieved so much with both the COSARAF Foundation and the CareTech Foundation, and eager for new challenges, Jonathan will be leaving both to embark on a new adventure with the Charity for Civil Servants. This organisation is particularly meaningful to him, as he began his career as a civil servant.
The trustees of the COSARAF Foundation wish Jonathan all the best in his new role and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will continue to make in the sector.
